In theory this helps aid in cooling as the fans are going WITH the laws of nature rather than against it. And in truth putting the GTX s inside the Raven 2 did indeed negate many of the nagging sound issues arising from the fan on the GTX series cards. Temperatures benefited from the standardized airflow that is not really present on an open air setup and the noise was not only lessened because of that but quite frankly just because it was encased inside something.

SC2 just got released. There are no driver tweaks for it from either camp and it will play like crap. And while Nvidia releases drivers every now and then. I can bank on ATI releasing drivers every month around the same time with new patches and game improvements. SC2 will play great on ATI come It is just the nature of the beast. Nvidia is the exact same way and their next drivers will improve SC2 and better scaling on that game with the next ones.
So I guess my real question is what games broke for SC2 to play? Joined Feb 20, Messages 4, 0. I think the only real performance gain the 's would have in the end is better FPS at each res since it has more RAM.
Beyond that, from what FPS I get using a single OCed at x at newer games, a single would be fine, so to that effect, the SLI s would still be overkill, but perhaps give more funds toward other parts of the build if that was needed.
Thats probably true, I fell for the 4 GPU hype. Now that I think about it, I think had scaling problems as well, but I never owned two s, I had two s instead and that worked wonderfully.
You're correct, some games work better certain cards than others. I guess I'm having buyers remorse, and I want to cut my losses now while still worth a good chuck of money on ebay. I think this fanboy-ism mentality is stupid. I've owned Ti, gts-sli, and gtx-sli before this. I was just not careful when I bought 2 s. As for what games broke? BC2 fps dropped from to 70 and became unstable.

Ultimately, I think it depends on how often you upgrade. If you do not plan to upgrade for a long time, the sli would be best simply because its the most future proof.
